techieboy
The sticky pad holding my Micro RoadPilot mount to the dashboard finally gave up on the drive up to CraigyB's the weekend before last. It's now left a nice sticky residue on the dashboard. Anybody know of any dashboard safe product with enough oomph to clean this cack off but leave the dash damage free? I don't wan't to risk anything too harsh bleaching (or even worse melting) the dashboard. Cheers, Matt
mb
I would try lighter fluid on a kitchen towel (so most of it's absorbed) or some Mr Muscle orange again on a kitchen towel, or swarfega paint & diy wipes. Haven't tested any on the dash myself but this is what I would use
bpsmith
WD40 can also clear the sticky residue, i have been told. Not actually tried it though but did the trick for a friend.
N3WOB
Had exactly the same problem from the MRP sticky. Simply kept rubbing my finger over the residue, the friction & heat generated moves it - no cleaning products needed
techieboy
Excellent. That'll be tomorrows job whilst waiting for my turn on the rollers at AMD. Gotta be worth a go and at worst, the police won't be able to fingerprint me for a while. Cheers!
