How all bikers should act

This is not a rant this is high prase for a rider of a GSXR that i saw this morning.

The story goes as this

Me and others sitting in que at traffic lights on a very narrow road only just wide enough for 2 cars to pass but only missing each other by inches. Silly little tit on a little aprillia comes blasting past the line of traffic on the wrong side of the road and almost gets wiped out by the cars coming the otherway. As our traffic lights now turn green he pulls out onto the wrong side of the road and passes all of us and goes through the lights on the wrong side of the road. As i pass through the lights i'm suddenly past by the GSXR going at some speed. I'm about to call him alot of rude names for doing more than the speed limit but thought better of it as he would not hear anyway smashfreakB.gif.

As the traffic slowed for the next set of lights i could see the Guy on the GSXR had stopped and was actually taking his helmit off while talking to someone. As the que moved forward he stayed where he was. Now as i pulled up to him i realised he had pulled across the front of the aprillia blocking its way and was shouting at the young kid on the bike. I bealive from what i heard the conversation must have gone along the lines of.

If you drive like that all the time you will never get to pass your test. Also your giving people like me a bad name due to me being associated with bikes.

Now from the parts i heard it really was not a polite conversation.

I really dont think the kid will be doing it agian in the near future.

Glad to see that there are some responsible bikers out there willing to point out to the stupid kids where they are going wrong.

top notch mate well done. 169144-ok.gif

Probably doesn't happen enough to be honest......

Last year I was driving through the village I lived in, when a young lad cut a corner in front of me and nearly had a head on smash with a car on the other side of the road on his moped thing?? I was following him on my way out of the village when, low and behold he nearly had another accident at the next junction, by pulling out without looking. Incidently he did have L plates on. At this point I got annoyed with his recklessness and followed him and flashed my lights. He carried on for half a mile and when he realised I was following him, he pulled into a local chippy. I stopped get out and basically gave him a bollocking along the lines of.... "Don't ride like a complete tit... I don't care much if you get smashed up, but I'd feel for the poor sod who so happens to be involved when you do" I was half expecting a verbal, but he really was quite sheepish and apologetic.

Afterwards I did feel guilty for doing it, and wondered if I would have been percieved as being a bit of a bully... but he really was an accident waiting to happen.

The thought crossed my mind, but not until afterwards, but I guess that's the way in those situations....

I was just completely gobsmacked by his lack of skill or consideration for others. I suppose confronting him one on one seperates him from the "I'm safe in my space" mentality, and he obviously knew he's screwed up.
