gizze
I hate the Contisports, I would say they Yoko's would be as good, also look at Pirelli P Zero Nero or rossos, Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s, Michelin Pilot Sort 2s. Other cheaper brands are Avon ZZ3's (pretty damn good for the money) and the new Falken FK252 (I think that is the one, but definitley something 252 and not the older 251 anyway) is geting very good reports. NewNiceMrMe
Agreed, the sooner the Conti's are gone the better. I have no experience of Yokohama tyres though. Falkens get very good reviews in general though as Gizze recommends above.

rjb2k
On a slightly different tyre related question: I have the following tyres on my 330D sport and have experienced quite a bit of tramlining on the motorway etc front: 225-40-18 Back: 255-35-18 or could be 19s Are these standard tyres on this model (has Msport kit) Is there anything that can be done, is this normal behaviour on this car etc???? gizze
They are standard tyres if you have a bigger rear wheel yeah, and there is not alot you can do about tramlinibg to be honest. The E46 does it more than some but it isn't too bad?
sayerbloke
I have 225/50/ZR16 Yokos on my E36. Tramlines like a bitch, but no other complaints.

[/ QUOTE ] Sounds like standard M Sport 18" wheels, which do tramline quite badly on some motorway surfaces in my experience, which is a shame. Not a relaxing motorway car, but great fun on other roads Peter
gizze
I don't get any tramlining on my E60 now I have changed the tyres and it is the only thing stopping me from getting 19's right now.

[/ QUOTE ] You're right gIzzE - I should have been clearer; I was referring to the the E46 330d with M Sport kit, which (on mine at least) tramlined shockingly on motorways. The M Sport E61 was far better, and my current E61 (in SE trim) doesn't tramline at all Peter
gizze
Cool, I was starting to think 19's may not be a wise move after all and maybe I had just been lucky with the Pirelli tyres.
