Interior Light Fault

My interior light has the standard 3 position setting, however it only works on the far left setting, and doesn't come on when I open the door (set on the middle position). I am also ment to have a courtesy light that comes on when I stop the engine and take the key out of the ignition. What's the problem and how do I fix it? The bulb works perfectly fine.
