Milo
Since playing about with my PC I seem to have lost MS Photo Editor (I'm running Win98SE) and can't find anywhere that I can download it. Can anyone recommend a one (or better still know of a download site for Photo Editor) - it has to be pretty simple and straight forward (I don't want/need a Photoshop type program). All I usually use it for is resizing pictures and maybe editing some details out. Ta
Daz
If it helps [ QUOTE ] Microsoft Photo Editor ships with Microsoft Office 97 and the stand-alone versions of Microsoft Word 97 and Microsoft PowerPoint 97. Microsoft Photo Editor is installed when you perform a custom or complete installation from the compact disc. [/ QUOTE ] Do you have any of these disks? Milo
It came on my PC which I still have the original disks for. The bundled software package was MS Works but that doesn't seem to have it on. I also have a copy of Office 2000 but that only seems to have Photodraw which I hate
Milo
Come to think of it, I seem to recall having Office 97 loaded on my PC and then upgrading to Office 2000. Maybe that's where it came from.
Rustynuts
Milo, the easiest image resizing tool for windows is here. Download it, install it, and it integrates into Windows (as it's Microsoft) and simply right clicking on the image on your computer brings up a menu with "Resize Pictures" in it. I think you can work out how it goes from here.
Daz
Except that only works with XP - Milo is still in the last millenium.

Chris_B
I don't know how simple it is, or how fast it will run on a machine that's old enough to be running Win98SE, but The GIMP (no, not Dave) is free.

Milo
[ QUOTE ] Milo. Seriously? Windows 98?! [/ QUOTE ] Whoa, easy there fella! Win98SE It works just fine on my Commodore 64 thanks Everything was OK until recently, when after 7 and a bit years, I'd nearly filled my 6.3GB HDD. I bought a fancy new 20GB one but lost MS Photo Editor during the, errmmmm, upgrade
timps
Office 2000 should have it on but it does not get loaded as default. If its not in Microsoft office tools in the start menu then put the office 2000 disc in and there should be a custom install feature then you can locate it from one of the options. Milo
Ah. It appears I had access to Photo Editor all along. It was an installable (is that a word?) option on Office 2000 which I have It was hidden away in Office Tools so not easy to find to be honest unless you knew where to look. Anyway, it's loaded now and I'm happy. Many thanks to all who offered assistance and especially to TDiAvant who was the one who pointed out it was on Office 2000 all along I wouldn't have any of this trouble if Thorburn would offer to build me a new PC
