v6tas
Went down to AMD with alot of other TSN'ers for the RR day today and got rather poor results. 225bhp was the result which was blamed on a faulty air mass filter. They also said the hot day would have affected the result and to take it as 230bhp as the proper figure but still 7bhp down on what it should be (and ive had the 6463 added). Are the air mass filters expensive to replace or would i be able to get it changed under warranty?. All advice as ever appreciated
DHA
To be honest I would take the figures with a pinch of salt. When I had my original Boxster S on the rolling road it came out with 210bhp when it was a 252bhp quoted. The airflow on rolling roads is nothing like in real life. I wouldnt be too worried but I would get the MAF replaced.
Daz
I wouldn't worry too much. Most of the cars today were down on what was expected. It was quite a hot day and that will always make the reading worse.

Gti_Fly
Sorry to hear that. This is why I'd never put my car on a rolling road. If the results are bad, then u end up feelin cheated, and end up consolidating yourself that the rollers where bad. If the results are good, then someone will say the rollers were wildly out You can't win either way. And the only proper way to calculate true BHP is to bench run the engine. But who's gonna whip their engine out??
RedRobin
I don't think that rolling road stats are reliable either but it was interesting to do today nonetheless. All that matters is how your car feels to drive imo.

v6tas
Well i went there with open eyes knowing that if the results were bad then id be pissed off or visa versa. But i wanted to have some idea of the output and i know what needs to be fixed to improve the state of affairs so not all bad i suppose. Oh and no other R32's were there

Im booked into the stealers on Wednesday to have two new alloys fitted so will ask about getting the air filter changed or cleaned as this was what they pointed out to me as a possible cause of the loss of power
UKLooney
I've got a GTTimer which I have found damn accurate over the years. At 1000miles I was getting 6.0-6.05s 0-60mph consistantly on a full tank of optimax. Just past 6000miles now and got 5.9-5.93s over six runs today (on vpower). DSG meant that driver error was minimal. I think it's possible to use vagcom to similar effect. A much better judge than rr's IMO
petsy
were you using launch control for those times?
