johnss8
Re-wash the car then try Megs stage 2 polish or similar, if you've waxed the car then you'll need to re-do it.

steelwind101
Hi If you have streaks left from using a QD you have probably used too much. They are water based, you can just wash your car and they will be gone. Also if you have scratched your car or caused swirl marks from being aggressive with a QD Megs. stage 2 WONT HELP you. It may help hide the marks, but it wont remove them. Megs stage 2 is a "PURE POLISH". That means it has ZERO abrasives, you may also know this type of product as a GLAZE. Use it as often as you want, it WONT remove a thing. The most aggressive product you can OTC (over the counter) in the Megs range right now is ScratchX which is pretty weak. Aggressive swirl and scratch removers are found in the beige megs. bottles in the pro. range. Hope this helps. Geoff

steelwind101
is it damage?? I cant work out from the pictures?? They are swirls or scratches from something stuck underneath your QD cloth??
skanky
i dont think its damage (at least i hope its not damage!), i had previously used a turtle wax tree/sap remover wipes and i think the residue caused the streaks. steelwind101
I would try a paint cleaner like Deep Crystal step 1. Do you have any Super Resin Polish?? Failing either of those give a clay bar a try.
skanky
picked up megs step1 and step2, so intend to follow the process outlined in the "Meguiars - Gold Class, NXT or Stage 1-3 ?" thread hopefully this weekend. thats the last trip im making to halfords! i think i've developed "MCD", was supposed to goto argos to return something but instead somehow convinced myself to make a detour to get more megs stuff, argh! bpsmith
Mate. Dont do it! Give in to the calling! You will end up going in and buying stuff without even being aware of it before long! Trying to avoid the 3 for 2 deal at the moment myself!
