steelwind101
Hi!! This a great forum and i have just joined. I wanted to offer back a little advice as i have read so much on here over the weekend!! My advice is RE: Megs. Stage 2 polish. After reading through the cleaning section it seems like there is a lot of feeling that this product is abrasive or will remove defects. It isnt abrasive and it wont remove defects. Megs stage 2 is a "PURE POLISH". That means it has ZERO abrasives, you may also know this type of product as a GLAZE. Use it as often as you want, it WONT remove a thing. Of course it needs to be topped with a wax and you may find it hides small imperfections but it wont remove any!! It has a Megs. pro range equiverlent: #7 SHOW CAR GLAZE. The most aggressive product you can OTC (over the counter) in the Megs range right now is ScratchX which is pretty weak. Aggressive swirl and scratch removers are found in the beige megs. bottles in the pro. range. I hope this helps!! I know it is confusing when different companies term things differently. I just wanted to clear that one up!! Anyway....back to reading the other parts of the forum!! Geoff
bpsmith
Can it officially be called and classed as a "Polish" if there is ZERO abrasive in it? It says on the back of the bottle "...polishes out surface imperfections for sharp, clear reflections...". Therefore in my mind there must be SOME abrasive in it otherwise would not polish out a thing? Now, the level of abrasiveness that actually may be in it is another story to discuss? But ZERO, I dont really know!?! Just my pennies worth and discussion is what this forum is all about! Welcome to the madness and home of many a compulsive disorder!!! steelwind101
Yes i know it can seem very confusing with all the different terms used by different companies. It really fills the gaps as opposed to refining the surface so they are no there.
