lottiefox
Quick service indicator question - the TT had its first AVS last week and the indicator still flashs "Service!!" at me when I start the engine. Now I know that the miles take a while to settle into the intervals but if it still thinks it needs a service have they not reset the indicator at all?? Speaking to anyone in Service on a Monday is like chatting to the Pope.

Rustynuts
Take it back and politely tell them to finish the job you paid them to do.
lottiefox
I despair - how hard can it be to reset the indicator - its like doing a heart transplant and forgetting to sew up the hole!!! Fortunately it was free servicing!!
Atomic
Firstly you should take it back and get the to complete the job. Secondly if you cannot do that then I'm sure there's a mention in the manual about 'manually resetting the service indicator if someone other than an audi garage performs the service'. There is on the audi's I've previously owned - A4, A8. That said it's not a proper reset... it only gies back to around 10k.
lottiefox
Spoken to service who have apologised....will pop in this afternoon and get it reset. Amazing. How hard is it to do a service properly??? Thats why it goes to APS for anything else. Sod the warranty!!
lottiefox
Yes, they had forgotten. All sorted now. And the new TT is all covered up in the show room ready for Friday evening. Silver with red leather apparently.

[/ QUOTE ] Wouldn't it be great to sneak in Thursday night and swap it for an unregistered old shape and see how long it takes them to realise after they pull the covers off Friday.
