Have been informed that need new pads all round, the local stealer is asking for 233.90 all in. Is this about right. They have also qouted:

blades-£40.92 inc.

brake fluid-£56.95 inc.

cooling housing £128.60 inc.

Belt/tens change £337.

Have booked in for the belt( have been told it needs done before 80k on the 2.0 FSI.

cant help but thinking they are taking the piss over the coolent, brakes ect

thoughs...

According to my trusty Audi A3 fleet maintenance schedule wink.gif brakes should cost....

Front pads £46.75 @ 0.9hr labour. equivalent £97.15 total

Rear pads £28.64 @ 0.9hr labour. equivalent £79.04 total

These prices are based on labour at £56hr

Also according to the May 2005 schedule I have cam belt aint due until 115,000 unless they've updated things...

if your audi is 3 years old and you been a good lad and paid the stealers for serviceing they give you a card that gets 30% of labour, 10% of parts and free mot and some other rubish, will look out the letter and pop the full info on. This may just be a colebrook n brugress deal.

its better than kick in nuts but once i get my new car the wife is getting the a3 and its going to be doing a school run so doesnt need the dealer touch, the local garage can sort it for fraction of the cost.
