With my vodafone contract finally up and me running a brick after loosing my decent phone a while back, i called them to see if they could match T-Mobiles current offer of 25% off their tarrifs on Flext........

No chance, couldnt even come close and wanted loads of money for a SE K800i....... so i ordered my PAC code and toddled off to the T-Mobile website......

Chose the tarrif, SE K800i for £50, filled in the info, popped in my direct debit details and completed the transaction at 5.20pm last night just before i left work.

This morning at 07.30am, the postman delivered it.......

Now THAT is customer service!!!!! cool.gif169144-ok.gifbowdown.gif Hope they are as efficeint when i come to transfer my number...... UHOH7.GIF

PS - phone review to come soon. Still trying to work out how to use it after my Nokia grin.gif169144-ok.gif

funny actually, i have just had Vodafone BACK on the phone to me to try and keep me...... they were saying i was daft moving to an 'inferior network' etc. etc. and i can have a free K800i now, but they cant get close on the line rental...... its £60 for the equivalent £20 Flext rental on T-Mobile!!!!!!! PS - i still think Voda are unbeatable on signal, but i now have the choice of T-Mobile GSM or 3G and also Orange on my works phone - i think i'll be ok!!! grin.gif

I said, thanks for the call, but i really wont be staying with you now as you implied im stupid for selecting T-Mobile..... feck off..... grin.gif

But do T-Mobile offer an unlimited 3G Data Service? As far as I'm concerned, this is the only thing that Vodafone are good for. Only £45 a month for unlimited data via their 3G network. Connection Speeds are about 1.8Mb which is pretty good.

As for Orange, what a waste of time. I will be leaving them at the first opportunity, which unfortunately is still 3 months away.

yea - if you go web'n'walk professional, it's £8.50/month ontop of their normal line rental (varies). I rarely use 3G anyway and got this 3g phone mainly because i liked the camera facility and i have a bulky DSLR style camera at home, so its good to use for normal snaps of chicks in tight jeans (oops - did i say that out loud!!! Have T-Mobile myself, service is top notch apart from one aspect... coverage is crap! the_finger.gif

Just imagine a train running from London Liverpool Street headed SE up towards Chelmsford... After leaving the city itself and beyond Romford the Signal hits 0 until I arrive. Never seen this before in many many years.

I get poor quality signals in the car also, especially on the M6 route upto Scotland, frustrating when you want to phone family with your ETA.
