necorner
I stupidly drove my GTI head first into the central reservation of the M8 last week.Fortunately I didnt take anybody else with me. I misjudged the weather conditions and my speed and aquaplaned about a bit before crashing. It was a 2001 Y plate 2.0 5 door, with 55,000 on the clock. The insurance company have offered me £6100 for it. I dont have access to a glass's guide so can anybody tell me if this is a fair price. Ive never been in this situation before but people in work have suggested that the insurance company expect you to haggle. Any advice would be gratefully recieved. I am extremely disapointed in myself as this is the first "good" car I have had. I new the person I bought it off and it was imaculate inside and out. Full service history etc. Cheers in advance for any comment you might have.
