NewNiceMrMe
This is ridiculous. Last week I bought myself a brand new copy of Microsoft Office 2003 Professional, and a brand new copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2. This being part of my building my 'personal' IT belongings for a venture. Anyway, all installed and ready to go.. Photoshop went through it's automatic update to 9.0.2 or whatever it is. Office went through the SP1, SP2 on CD and then online updates. No problems so far then. I then decided I wanted to expand the clipart library because I had some very specific areas I wanted. So I went back to the Office Updates/Download sites and sure enough they have a mammoth selection of free clipart for you to download. So, imagine my frustration when I discover you can only download 3mb of files at any one time. You can then immediately re-search and download another 3mb - but what a stupid fecking limit!!! 3mb is nothing, and anything between 6-22 files fills the basket limit in no time. So I've done it about 10-15 times but still don't have all the stuff I want. It'd be much easier if I could just select a full category and hit download. I imagine it's to stop people bombarding their servers. However, when I've paiid £300+ for a product and want to make use of the online presence I've bought into - I think it's a dirty trick. NewNiceMrMe
By the way, if you register a copy of Photoshop this month, Adobe have a free offer on. Its a bit naff, but free nonetheless. You get a choice of.. Garamond Premier font Adobe Photoshop User magazine x 2 editions Adobe Layers magazine x 2 editions I picked Photoshop User. Chris_B
You running CS2 on Windows I assume? Let me know if you get any 'odd' issues will you? Roll on CS3 - porting to Intel for OSX might mean their Intel/Windows code quality improves...
Sparky
MrMe, don't use MS Clip art for anything professional work wise, as it's anything but professional in looks. It's OK for school use, but naff otherwise.
NewNiceMrMe
Have you seen some of the new media clips available on there? They're very good indeed. I've been looking for those, and some photographs, but would never dream of using the silly pastel sketchy feckwit artwork they have on there! Shame on you for even thinking that I might! Chris, yes it's running on XP Pro (SP2). No problems so far. Very impressed with the little tutorial that came on Vanishing Points too. Ultra cool tool!
