Merlot
Three years or so ago, Autocar tested a manual S4 Avant and the figures were pretty impressive - 5.2s to 60 and 13.3s to 100. Anyone seen any road test stats for an auto S4 (B6 or B7?) Ta
P_G
I did see the article but can't remember the stats. 'll see if I can did it out, scan it and PM it to you. Slightly astray, anyone checked the Audi website recently as it is now saying the S4 0-100km/h time is 6 seconds (0-62 is 5.9 now on the site) Since when did it loose 0.3 of a second? And doesn't that now make it slower than the new DSG shod S3?
Merlot
The Audi website rounds each time to the nearest whole second. PS Thanks - I've got the Autocar mag with the manual road test but its an auto I've never seen tested.
gizze
My mate had a manual S4 saloon and timing it with a Race Technology AP22 we always used to get 5.5 or 5.6 Seconds. He now has a tip Avant and that gets 5.7 seconds everytime.

P_G
Sorry, I thought I read somewhere that there was going to be a DSG version.
Cupramax
It probably will be at some point but not the release model....

I was wondering how much slower my A8 4.2 Sport would be than an auto S4 Avant. The A8 only weighs 40kg more and has a little less power and a little bit more torque from its belt driven V8. I should maybe buy ones of these boxes. How much are they?
bencole45
Around £130 IIRC.

Daz
Which is weird because the RS cab is the same as the Avant and only .1sec less than the saloon.

[/ QUOTE ] There are loads of different reports on the S4 cabs performance, it seems the figures get smaller as you get into bigger engined cars, if you look at these figures... http://www.audiworld.com/model/s4/05/05S4Cabriolet.pdf#search="s4%20cabriolet%200-100" On there it says 5.8 seconds for the manual and 6.1 seconds for the tip, to be honest though Daz you could probably put your engine in a tank and still do 0-60mph in under 6 seconds!! Oh, I just spoke with my mate who has the tip avant, it is 5.9 that he gets with the AP22. I will post the reports up of his and mine when we get round to doing it again as it would probably make interesting reading, more so the start figures where the 4 wheel drive really helps.
