Which wash

NXT is a good wash, really is a wash only and wont bring anything extra out in the paint. Gold class is less strong but as mentioned as conditions and optical brigteners that will give the paint a little bling.

In theory if u want maximum looks you want to wash with a good soap which NXT is fine then hit it with quick detailer if you are not waxing. The QD should bring out a little jazz in the previosuly waxed paintwork. There a few out there some even add synthetic extras to the paint work or a little 'nuba wax.

My top washes are:

Chemical Guys Car Wash and Wax, good wash and really adds something to the paint if you just want to wash and walk away. You need to dry of course and thats when you see its added a little polymer layer of shine. Smells nice, goes far and is avalible from cleanyourcar.co.uk i got some from Tim this week and its top stuff.

P21's car wash is probably one of the better wash only-any season car cleaning soaps. £7.99 for 500ML, but its wax friendly and a good cleaner. Motor Geek

Pinnicle and Wolfgang do some expensive stuff that smells great!! Coconut flavour very little suds in the London area (even though it has tough suds) its harsh on your LSP but its a great soap if you wax reguarly. Motorgeek.co.uk

Megs. Soft wash is great if you have to much gunge/grime on your car for a quick detailer wipe down but isnt too good on anything really grimie.

Optimum car wash is good too and leaves a nice finish.

Autoglym is good, though i find its bit to thin for my personal liking. Good cleaner, wax friendly and rinses with no spots. That is really plus point of any shampoo, great in all UK water areas works really well on any finish esp. SRP/EGP.

If you like the orange flavour the Poorboys Slick and Suds is as good as gold class but doesnt look so wonderful afterwards. Great in a foam gun though!! seriousperformance.co.uk

If you have tar and bug issues try Poorboys squash you mix it with water and @ 3:1 (1 being bug squash) and spray on. Really helps, it doesnt destroy them or melt of tar but softens it and doesnt melt to much wax.

Just about to get some more wash myself and have recently been advised to go for Meg's Hyper Wash. How does this do?

Also, I want to use it with the Foam Lance and so been advised that DP do some really good faom stuff but not 100% of the name. Need to order from the states though I am told.

Hi

DP....Detailers Pride?? You can get that from Motorgeek.co.uk i had'ent used it up and til about a week ago and got a small sample from a friend. It smelt of bananas and reminded me of the Blackfire wash. It claims to have Tuff Suds II and is part of the Pinnacle-Wolfgang group. Tuff Suds are no suds where i live!!

Hyper Wash is great and comes in 3.79L bottles for under £20 you cant go wrong. Esp. if you use the right dilution rates.

Its not really boutique but its a great wash. The only thing is its not so much fun when you cant change products every few months?? LOL.

Snow Foam is popular with lances too. I dont have it but i have seen it on cars and it looks like it says!! The whole car covered in a thick white foamie wash. If you google it some places should come up.

Lots of people pre-wash with the foam gun as you can let it sit there and drag the crud off the car. Then rinse and follow with a nice soap using the bucket method.
