Scoobaru advice needed please

Mrs D has complained about our "gutless" Golf Gti turbo for ages, and wants something with a bit more go. Problem is, we need something with three of those three point belts in the back. Anyone know if these are fitted as standard, lap straps are no good to us (3 small kids), and if so, from what year were they standard (can't afford a new one, thinking of something used) ?

Don't know if any of the Impreza's come with standard 3x 3 point belts, BUT from here the 2005 comes with

Thanks Scooby Simon. I found a 51 plate wrx estate locally last night for £5k that had 3x3 point belts. UK car, original, looks the part, think we'll check it out.

2005 MY will be out of my budget I reckon.

Just personal choice I suppose, but if you're looking around 51 plate I'd get a slightly earlier good condition mk1 Impreza instead of the pig ugly goggle eyed one.

Might be worth trawling for 2003MY cars - the first to lose the goggle eyes. High miler (which won't be a problem with FSH) could be nearly as cheap as a nice 51 plate.
