meriafel
Does anyone know what the paint code is for the silver paint used on the current F-430 wheels? Was driving a friends new car and caught inside rear on granite kerb!
kerbside
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but those alloys are powdercoated and sealed with plastic. I would suggest taking it to halfords/car accessory/good bodyshop and getting them to mix up a touch up for it.
meriafel
Had time now to phone several Ferarri main dealers who all confirm thete is no paint code for wheels. Paint used originally is GLASURIT and all seem to offer a refurb. service, one group quoted £40 another £55 which included deflating tyre, removel of the alloy valve assembly respray with a two pack to match and clear lacquer. Masking rear of wheel also. Obviously a very common event. Dealers very helpful with the torque settings for the rear wheel bolts. Not such a disaster as I first thought! meriafel
My friend had it done at a local bodyshop and is pleased with the finish. Does seem that wheels are generally powder coated originally so I seem to have been mis-informed by one of the Ferrari dealers. Probably as well that they farm them out for repair!
