Rustynuts
A VW dealership should be able to provide you with a detailed printout of the state of the tracking when they've done it, detailing all the settings. It's not just a matter of setting the toe in or toe out, as it's multi link suspension. Therefore, if it's coming back in with the tracking different, they should be able to ascertain what has changed to cause the difference. Unless they're just boiling p!ss at you and they don't know what they're doing. Make sure you get a printout off the machine next time they do it. kerbside
If the dealer has to constantly adjust the tracking there could be underlying problems. Sticking brakes, unevenly worn tyres and excessive movement in any suspension component can cause similar symptoms as tracking being out. What makes you think the tracking is out? Does the car pull to the side? Are the tyres wearing unevenly? Does the steering lack 'feel'?
Wobby
Sticking brakes alter a vehicles tracking/ alignment? Didn't know that! At £200 (ish) a throw, i wouldn't be happy needing it doing again! They should at least offer some explaination as to why its altered, what parts need replacing etc?
