Side light bulbs

Its fair to say its a pain to get to them, especially if you have large hands. But with a bit of practice it can be done in a few minutes.

Drivers side is easier because the battery is not in the way. Unclip the rear plastic cover on the light assy and wiggle it down out the way as far as possible to create a space for your hand to get to the rear of the bulbs. Removing the torx screws on the top of the lamps allows them to pivot forward a cm or so which can make a difference. The side light bulb holder has to be twisted 90deg and then pulled out. Normally I can just get my finger tips on it whilst pulling gently on the wires.

Passenger side is harder because the battery gets in the way, remove the battery cover to make more space. There is also an additional plastic cover over the lamp, a single philips screw and then it slides up and out.

To change the main ones I had to remove the bumper to get the whole lamp assy out, which takes an hour or so.

And the bulbs you need are BA9 fitting with offset pins.

Yeh, its not that hard once you have done it twice. I can do both bulbs in 15 mins max.

The part that got me was once you unclip the cover on the back of the light assembly, at first, there doesn't seem to be anywhere you can move it out the way too.

The cover is rectangular, so you just have to rotate it 90 degrees and then push it to the side, this makes the other side big enough to squeeze your hand or at least 2 fingers into, grab the wires at the back of the side light, twist and pull. Well, thats all I remember!

Dead easy once you know how...don't give up!!!
