Jedis petition for religious recognition in Britian

Dang, I thought the Jedis were extinct. Their fire had gone out of the universe with Episode I. These yahoos, my friends, must be all that remains of their religion.

Some peoples dedication to ancient religions have yet to conjure up any sign of a real life, eh?

I mean, hokey religions and ancient petitions are no substitute for a sound economic, social, and military policy on your side.

('Course, I think the US would benefit w/ more organized religions like the Jedi)

Nah .. Star Wars is set in the future. So their fire will die out when we reach Episode I.

At the moment, the Jedi are on the up. So recognition is well deserved! coffee.gif

Good point, good point....

So if they're not descended from us, why are so many of them humanoid, and why is American English the most widely-spoken language? grin.gif

And how unfair is it that all that technology was around a long time ago and I can't find it in Dixons? Even after they changed the name?

Best I go back to what I'm good at. If only I could find out what that was. SMOKE6.GIF

Surely there was a pretty good attempt to extinguish it at the end of Episode 3?

A LONG TIME AGO, in a galaxy far, far away...

AHEM! If you know your advanced physics theory "A LONG TIME AGO..." doesn't necessarily mean it isn't in *our* future. znaika.gif

Tachyon space and all that...just need to get around the mass issue in Einsteinian space...No problem in String Theory, etc...

So the Yanks are immigrants from outer space, not former English colonials ... explains a lot 169144-ok.gif

Only the small cranky part were English colonials... wink.gif

Everything in American-English still doesn't help. There's probably as much variation in American-English (Down East, Bahstan, Southern Drawl, Appalachian, Texas Drawl, Hill-billy, Mid-West) as there is in the Queen's English...

Many cultures separated by a common language.
