Per
Just had a test drive in a 32k MK4 R32 (5 doors in place on my 3 door Megane 225 Trophy). Love the engine sound, and the way the car feels, but in terms of space, the back seat is no better (perhaps marginally worse, due to the size of the Konig seats) than in the Megane, but the R32 in 5 door form looks better than the Megane in 5 door (and the Trophy was only availble as a 3 door model). Lovely engine, goes quite nicely (had not had the 6463 upgrade), but was not impressed with the brakes - not enough bite in them (the brakes on my Megane are superb and Renault had increased the brake master cylinder diameter, including drilled discs - giving fantastic brakes). What are the best brake kits - discs/pads - to upgrade to standard R32 brakes? Still undecided - would love a MK5 R32, but the price is still too high for me at he moment, so it may be that I look at the MK4. What are the must do upgrades and what are the nice to have upgrades that would transform the R32?? CheeRS Per

Decked
A lot! But worth every penny! you will find the info here, ECS stage 5 http://www.jbrperformance.co.uk/ remember to add the VAT!
Brisel
A cheaper option might be Tarox discs & Pagid RS44 Orange pads, which cost me £648 fitted. Stopping power is much improved but they do squeak a bit. See here Brake upgrading is a regular topic for Mk IVs. Try a search & you will bring up endless posts on the matter. Per
Cheers for the links. Not cheap!!! but then it's lilkely worth having the upgrade as you never know when one day you will be grateful for having parted with so much dosh for a set of brakes!! Still, if I can stretch to a MK5 R32 (probably not likely ), then I won't need to worry for few thousand miles or so!! Per
