Dan32
As previously posted, I've got the Milltek manifolds on order with APS. I sent Milltek an email to confirm pricing and availability and got a 'you'll have to wait and see' response which is frustrating as they say the manifolds are available on the website. Could anyone whose interested or just wants to help out fellow 'Smokers please email Milltek at: [email protected] and ask them about the pricing and availability for MKIV manifolds in the hope this spurs them on to make the bloody things. Thank you and good night

Brisel
Have you tried contacting AMD? They own a chunk of Milltek after all. HTH
Daz
Just give Milltek a call and speak with Phil Millington, he'll be able to give you the definative answer.
Dan32
Ed from APS has already spoken with them on my behalf and got told first week in dec at the earliest. All i was hoping was if loads of people emailed them about the manifolds, they might think it would be a good idea to start making them.
RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] Just give Milltek a call and speak with Phil Millington, he'll be able to give you the definative answer. [/ QUOTE ] ....Exactly! That's all I would do and I know he'll tell it like it is. Dan will just have to be patient. Brisel > Who makes you think that AmD own a chunk of Milltek!? To the best of my knowledge, Milltek work as closely as possible with all the main tuners but are totally independent.
lenny
AMD own 1/3 of Milltek.... or it could be the other way around! I have heard this a few times myself.
Dan32
It is AmDs MKIV in the videos on the Milltek website. And yes I will try to be patient but its also about getting the exhaust fixed on my car as the standard manifolds are falling apart, and other than being really annoyed at having them rattle about, I've noticed fuel consumption dropping off quite significantly and I'm worried I'll end up destroying more lambda probes and my new cats which is what happened last time too much fuel ended up in the system. RedRobin
I would expect Milltek to own a chunk of AmD too rather than the other way around but they certainly don't seem to promote AmD over any other tuner. I'm not sure that AmD's fortunes have been that great this last year what with key people leaving. I'm sorry to say that I'm no longer impressed by AmD for what it's worth, but I know that some TSNers think they are still great.
shark_90
AmD do not own any of Milltek. However I believe Phil/Milltek owns AmD's building and may own some of the business but doesn't have any hand in the running.

They're people, ring them up and talk to them (and don't listen to a middle man...)
Brisel
Red Robin - My apologies if I was wrong. My information came from my local VAG tuner, Jabbasport. Judging from the subsequent posts, there is a degree of cross ownership somewhere along the line, hence the AMD recommendation to Dan32. Mook
To put the issue of ownership of AmD to bed, I've had a D&B report run on AmD Technik Ltd and there are two individual shareholders, neither of whom are associated with Milltek in terms of ownership, based on the annual accounts to 31/01/2006 filed with Companies House. There is also nothing to indicate that there has been a significant injection of capital into the business up to 31/01/2006 compared to the previous 3 years. Given the fixed assets on record and knowing the building that AmD is based in, the company does not appear to own the building, but there is nothing to say that the building isn't owned by an individual or another company. If you're after actual numbers, you'll need to run your own report, as I don't think it's professional to post them on here or send details via PM. All of the details are available on the public record at Companies House. Back on topic - don't bombard Milltek with e-mails - like Shark says, give them a call. Knowing the way they operate, their way of working is to release a product when it's ready for market, rather than before.
