Bose retrofit of total fecking joy

Guys, I know I'm digging up an old thread but i'm really desperate for some help on the bose install. I have the hardware and even most of the original loom from a B6 Avant, but i'd love to be sure where all the wires are supposed to go!!

Hi guys, im new to the forum and have really liked what i have been reading. There seems to be an answer to any question here!

I would really appreciate any advice on a Bose retro fit to my A4 b6 saloon. I have had the bose in the past and miss it.

I have managed to buy all the speakers amp sub mic and wiring loom, and would love to do it myself but dont think i could manage it.

I have an audio installer who is willing to do it and will give me a set price when he looks at the car and bose set i have bought.

I just wonder though, If the engineer wires everything all up corect and uses the wiring loom i bought from the bose fitted car, will it all work like factory fitted or does my head unit need coded for better sound??

Hi And welcome to Tyresmoke.

I 'think' you need to do some work to code the stereo to get it to work but I'm not certain. CraigB would be your man to give you some info on that, if he doesn't turn up soon send him a PM.
