davec1
i have a mark 4 r32 which is on the long life service cycle. 1st serviced @8000 in feb05. light now on for the major service @18000. although the car is running fine , with the MOT looming and the warranty expiring on 19th jan , should there be anything mechanical i should ask them to check on. thus hopefully giving me recourse if the car goes pop on the 20th!!! obvioulsy i will ask them not to clean it , or take it for any "test drives"... thanks in advance. Mook
At 18K, there's not a lot that would normally have gone wrong. The 20K service should include changing the Haldex oil (the filter should be changed at 40K). Be aware that, even if you ask a garage to check a car over, if something "goes pop", you would not normally have any come-back on this.
