Tunbridge
It's just jealousy. The little scum bag who did it will never have the intelligence to get them selves a job to buy a nice car. Should be a punishable by public hanging IMO. ahaydock
Sorry! I know what you mean mine was done last weeks - two deep scratches in the rear o/s panel wheel arch! Annoyingly that panel had just been resprayed two weeks prior for a dent! Now I have to have it all done again. It is worth shopping about though as ChipsAway (http://www.chipsaway.co.uk/repair/index.asp) only wanted £140, where as the local stealer wanted £440! They wanted spray the door and everything! I tried my other Audi stealer and they only want £190 as they will just spray under the crease line. Just shows...
Wallachie
Sorry to hear that fella, what a nightmare..... I had my rear quarter panel booted in on my old S3, lucky for the guy responsible that he was nowhere to be seen when I left the bar. Nothing makes me as angry. TheReverend
Just read your post and like the rest of us sorry to hear it. Not many things make me mad like someone interfering with things they don't own. I had some clown do the same to mine. All over the bonnet & the whole way along the passenger side. Cost (the insurers) over £1000 to fix because they went down to the bare metal. I was so vexed I could hardly speak. It's a good thing I didn't find them because I'd be in leg irons by now for the damage I'd have done to them. They'd. Hope the insurance excess doesn't sting too much of you're going down that route. Any way of finding who did it?
legionrecrue
know what you'se guys mean about the keyed situation, had the same guy do mines not once, but three times, finally caught the b.....d on my vid/cam, but instead of kicking ten lumps of poo outa the guy, i nitromorsed his new o5 plate laguna, i think he's got an idea, but he can't be sure, anyway, the guy could'nt be any nicer to everyone on the block now

R4V_S3
Thanks for all your posts guys.. No way of finding out who did it some little sh1t i can imagine.. you are right.. if i found him i would key is freaking little tw@ of a face and i would end up getting busted! Not going through insuarance.. i will pay out my own pocket. We know a very good bodyshop guy well, and he will sort something out. Will take it down to him tomorrow.. well by brothers going to take my car - he can't wait to drive it lol...And right now, i just want to sell it. I have owned it 8 months and this is whats happened (think of the cost)and it also has 30k on the clock > Coilpacks > Coilpacks again > Spark plugs > Haldex Ecu - got uprated Plus typical: > Years Tax > Years Insurance > Rear tyres Now due for front tyres and service and spray job... TheReverend
You go through moments like that with cars. Some just burn money. If you're getting rid then don't think about the money you're spending now because of course you're not going to see it back. If you go for cheap and cheerful then you'll get kicked when you sell it. Have you got something else in mind?
R4V_S3
Oh yeah i know i will never get the money back! i just think it is a jinxed car for me.. one where everything goes wrong with it, and it is eating a whole in my pocket - and it doesn't feel as good as it might sound! lol I was thinking of another S3- but Dolphin Grey.. or a nissan 350z or a Z3 M-Coupe or a RX8 or a V6 DSG TT or ?? what do you reckon? TheReverend
I hear you.. There are cars like that and you do just want to get out of them. Of the cars you mentioned I've only driven a few. The Nissan 350z is a "firing" car. Excellent to drive. Looks and sounds the business. RWD too for those tail moments we all dream about (even if we're not brave enough to actually do them!) It's hopelessly impractical though; 2 seats, that suspension brace in the boot. It's a drinker too, so you'll always be at the pumps. Finally - it's a little thing but makes a big difference. The doors have no "dent strips" It looks better because of it but you'll be cursing because some imbecile in their shed / white van has slammed their door into yours, leaving it with the complexion of a 14yr old boy. The Z3M - Nice but 2 seats make life such pain. Also, it's so ugly. Not Subaru "ugly yet purposeful". I'd rather have an M3 The RX8 is a nice prospect and it certainly handles well. Looks the part - nice and low. The interior is "ok", not a patch on an Audi (but then what is?) What'll put you off is; the lack of torque, The oil and fuel consumption The depreciation, their prices just don't hold at all. Of the cars mentioned - I'd take the TT, depends on if you can live with the comedy seating in the back. Try the R32 (Mk4) lovely car and great sound. You'll not benefit much in performance per pound.
