ScoobyTim
On gear change in all gears (but only when Turbo is spinning) when the clutch is depressed for the change the revs blip up 500-750 rpm and the clutch pedal vibrates????? It does this most changes but not all. I thought the clutch might be on the way out but MY03 with only 30k - anyone any ideas or take it to the garage! ScoobyTim
Mmm, replying to my own post, presume no-one has come across this? It turns out that neither have Subaru, they have not noticed it before on any other car but tells me that it is nothing to worry about. It just sounds like I am driving badly and not taking my foot off the gas before pushing the clutch however it happened to the Subaru technician when I took him out in the car aswell. It is starting to bug me now so has anyone any further thoughts?
garcon magnifique
Not something I've esperienced, but might be worth checking out a. the clutch plates - vibration could mean something rough has got in there... b. engine management fault codes (would have thought the garage would check this anyway Both complete shots in the dark... kerbside
I had this problem with a non Scooby once. It was caused by the clutch diaphram (part of the pressure plate) weakening. I have also heard of this problem being caused by distorted flywheels.
garcon magnifique
In earlier Imprezas there was a potential issue with clutch judder in cars subjected to particularly violent take-offs. Thought that was resolved by 2003MY though.
