Odd sound under center console

Before I go to a stealer i though I'd ask a question.

Mines a Mk IV r32 and I get a what sounds like a liquid/oil slapping sound under the center console about where the gear stick is I think. Is this normal? I can only hear it when the car is standing still but it very audible.
