TP27
Looking for a suggestion for a good "family" style hotel (not budget) in Manchester near to Old Trafford (within say 2/3 miles) to stay for two nights. Suitable for two couples over a weekend. Thanks. TP.
Big_Dan
We stayed at the Copthorne right next to Old Trafford - would definitely stay again. It was close to the Quays as well.
craigyb
Copthorne is well recommended, many of my mates stay there when visiting. Also the Tulip hotel next to the Trafford Center is fairly new and very nice.
TP27
Thanks guys, both full when we want to stay (July next year!). Going to have to look further afield and/or up market price wise !!
ChadW
Yep was gonna say the Golden Tulip by OT is not bad from what I've heard. Not had to stay over for a game yet though!

TP27
Thank you Jon - will give it a shot. The girls want a decent hotel when we come down for the Genesis concert in July so we're doing our best to do as we're told !!!
Mollox
I'm always happy with the Radisson at the airport - not sure how far that is from Old Trafford (I prefer not to know these facts tbh ) That's £130/£180 standard/business per night. My experience of Radissons all round has been very positive so I'm sure the one Jon mentions will be up to it
TP27
Molly. We're having to go more expensive anyway as all the lower cost Hotels are fully booked. Looks like Manchester is going to be v v busy in the first weekend of July 2007 !! TP.
Insurance Jon
Trust me it is bling..........And the service is a lot better than the lowries. If I pull in Manchester tonight I'll be staying there.

Wallachie
I was at the Man U Chelsea game a couple of weeks ago, and we stayed in the Radisson at the airport. It was pretty good IMO, room wasn't great but good enough for all the time spent in it. The restaurant was very good though!
TP27
It was our first choice but unfortunately it's fully booked for the 6th and 7th July 2007 already !!!
