well they made a mistake it went up for £29.995 so i enquired, then an a few hours later i was showing the wife the car on the audi website and i noticed the price had gone up by £3000, so i phoned the dealer and they admitted it was priced too low, it was a mistake it should of been £32.995, but as i saw it on the site at the the lower price they will sell it to me at £29.995

Might be a ploy to pressure you into the sale, so keep your cool. If you fancy it is a great car, and i have huge fond memories of mine,

but you need to think about insurance and fuel costs. It isn't a cheap car to run by any stretch of the imagination.

is funny you say about the insurance i was checking that out earlier in the week, and its £60 more a year, that works out at just under £500 fully comp for me and the wife,

and servicing i will get done in Dundee Scotland where its half the price in labour than i get charged here in Surrey

It sounds like you have done your research, which is great. Lots of people love the idea of owning a performance car, but forget the practicalities.

In that case, i would certainly say go for it. 1 owner with 32,000 miles must be a mint car. And from a performance point of view it is amazing.

My insurance was over £1400 when i had mine!

Saloons are depreciating rapidly still. If you can wait till Monday (if someone hasn't first) I can give you some values as to what it should be at and what its going to lose. I think that at £33k it would be very overpriced. It is 100% a sub £30k car. With an Audi one year warranty it is still around a grand too dear IMHO.

Will, you surely would get a shed load more for it than that? The last RS6+'s I saw for sale were nearer the £50K mark with not much less mileage on them than yours. And one was chavved to the point of abhorrence, black with smoked light clusters, baseball hide and wood trim! EEK2.GIF

i`ve finally found a car that i like with the spec i want aswell, but just need some advice please. The car for sale is a 53plate black saloon RS6 with 25,000 on the clock and is at a Audi dealer, its up for £33,995 with full audi service history etc.. now i`ve got a A6 2.7t with all the toys which i will p/x if a sensible price is offered, now what is a sensible price i should really pay for this RS6? and also can the dealers wait 5 weeks for the cash? so what price should i offer them on top of my car?

Don't you want the Avant? It's a far better buy than the saloon...
