Dave
Sounds like a good price to me, and it's priced as if they want to shift it..
JamesB
You could maybe do better privately but then I guess you lose a degree of security. It depends on how much risk you are happy taking. I'd probably gp for the dealer option myself. Are they chucking in any kind of warranty?
johnny11
well they made a mistake it went up for £29.995 so i enquired, then an a few hours later i was showing the wife the car on the audi website and i noticed the price had gone up by £3000, so i phoned the dealer and they admitted it was priced too low, it was a mistake it should of been £32.995, but as i saw it on the site at the the lower price they will sell it to me at £29.
johnny11
yep 1 year audi warranty
Dave
Might be a ploy to pressure you into the sale, so keep your cool. If you fancy it is a great car, and i have huge fond memories of mine, but you need to think about insurance and fuel costs. It isn't a cheap car to run by any stretch of the imagination. johnny11
is funny you say about the insurance i was checking that out earlier in the week, and its £60 more a year, that works out at just under £500 fully comp for me and the wife, and servicing i will get done in Dundee Scotland where its half the price in labour than i get charged here in Surrey
Dave
It sounds like you have done your research, which is great. Lots of people love the idea of owning a performance car, but forget the practicalities. In that case, i would certainly say go for it. 1 owner with 32,000 miles must be a mint car. And from a performance point of view it is amazing. My insurance was over £1400 when i had mine!
johnny11
well my car now is 6 years and never had a prob with it, been looking at a few rs6 cars but bot to sure? as i go to Scotland 3 times a year by car it will have a good run, and mrs Johnny can use for the shopping runs. Booster
Saloons are depreciating rapidly still. If you can wait till Monday (if someone hasn't first) I can give you some values as to what it should be at and what its going to lose. I think that at £33k it would be very overpriced. It is 100% a sub £30k car. With an Audi one year warranty it is still around a grand too dear IMHO.

JamesB
Johnny, are you totally set on the saloon? An Avant is much more likely to hold on to some of its value.
johnny11
To be honest i`ve never driven the RS6 saloon, but Mrs Johnny prefers a saloon, but i might over the weekend go and look at a RS6 avant in my local dealership with her. gizze
if it were an avant I would say £30k is a good price, the saloon would scare me silly on the depreciation front.
Will22
To give you an idea I'm selling my 54 reg plus avant with 29k for £35,
P_G
Will, you surely would get a shed load more for it than that? The last RS6+'s I saw for sale were nearer the £50K mark with not much less mileage on them than yours. And one was chavved to the point of abhorrence, black with smoked light clusters, baseball hide and wood trim!

Merlot
I love Autotrader adverts - here's an RS6 with a DSG box! http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/car...earch_full.y=
P_G
Dealer is supposedly a specialist as well.... at bull I hope the owner won't be too disappointed he / she has Tiptronic as opposed to DSG.
