Havent really pushed it yet what with the roads as they are but will let you know more as the miles pile on!

JAYDR32
[ QUOTE ] Is that the body kit too? [/ QUOTE ] Wopps, I have had fitted the BMW M aero side skirts, strut brace and obviously the CSL rims with PS2's. Just need to lower the psi a bit as it feels quite highly sprung. JAYDR32
Yeah I have blatantly copied SteveD but it just looks so right IMO and not a fortune to do. I will post a review in a few weeks when I have got used to the car a bit more. Thanks for the kind words.

Phil330
i contacted my local dealer re. the side skirts for my roadster, but they have no idea about the ones i am on about?! He said their aren't any for my model, and that i have whats available on the car already! I knoe that i dont have these side skirts, so i left him to check it out! Woppum
You might be abke to get the parts numbers off one of these guys.
JAYDR32
Phil, They are talking nonsense. You can buy the extended side skirts seperately without buying the whole Aerokit. They are included within the overall package which is 51 19 0 413 069, but your parts manager should be able to select just the side skirts for you to order. They cost about £115 each plus painting, so they are really inexpensive. I got Murketts to do it in Huntingdon and it was just under £600 all in. Let me know if you get stuck! JAYDR32
Thanks JT, got it at last! Not had a chance to drive it much the last week or so and weather not been great. Only just got over the 1200 mile mark. I will get a review together when the weather gets a bit better and I can explore the cars capabilities better without ending up in a ditch!! Molar
That just looks so right. What size are the ps2s front and rear. I have Boxster 987s and am considering a change and just love the look. Was a bit put off by the reviews but the evo write up made it sound like a vast improvement. Any chance of a write up soon with some multi angle shots please. Thanks

The improvement is very noticeable over the standard Conti's. I will get some pics together as soon as we get some decent weather. Get out there and get a test drive, you will love it! A slightly better pic for you, more soon....
Molar
Thanks JDRM3. I am probably looking at around April time as its pointless trying to sell the boxster at the moment. I love the boxster its a fantastic car to drive. I had written off the z4m from my list based on poor reviews but like the old one the looks really appeal, plus you dont see hardly any on the roads at the moment and with the knowledge of improved handling from oem parts its a lot more attractive. Could I ask you guys whats it like to live with every day? My particular concern is room as im 6ft 3". The boxster is okay and I have sat in a 3.0 z4 coupe which felt quite snug. It had an eletronic reach and rake column that was not operating so I couldnt get the full adjustment and the steering wheel was too close to my thighs. How do you tall guys get on? Molar
One other thing JDRM3, has your insurance been loaded by much with the mods as they cant be regarded as factory fitted. I had heard that insurance companies loaded premiums for strut braces if declared as they cause more damage to the other side if say hit say side on. Thanks molar
JAYDR32
Molar, No problem for me with room in the cabin, I am not 6'3 though(just under 6 foot) but I wouldnt envisage a problem. I think SteveD who has a Z4M over on BM3W is about your height and he has no complaints. I have declared my mods to my insurance company (Adrian Flux) and it has not affected my premium at all. I have been with them sometime now and they seem happy with what I have declared. After all it is all OEM parts from BMW.
Molar
Thanks. I have quite a few factory fit extras on the boxster and you would not beleive the amount and time and effort it took me to get norwich union (at the time) to confirm that they were covered. I ended up owning the car for over 2 months not knowing that if my 19" carrera s alloys were pinched if they would be replaced with the standard 18s or not. Now moved to adrian flux as i couldnt stand talking to India any longer. (not racist but they could not understand me nor me them).
JAYDR32
Well I have just been out for a spin, roads seemed dry and temp not too low so I got the car nicely warmed up and went down some of my favourite roads, the car is bonkers!! Levels of grip are fantastic and the car is really starting to sound like it should. Not so metallic like the M3 but really nice and throaty. If you dont live too far from me Molar , I am more than happy for you to take a look and come for a spin!
