Time for a change?

I'm sure I posted this earlier but can't find it. Due to a pending lifestyle change (pregnant wife and a big dog) i'm thinking of chopping in my R in favour of and oil burning A4 Allroad. Has anybody got anything to report on these, am i going to regret doing these the moment i start chugging along the motorway? the one i've seen is fully loaded bar Satnav and wouldn't be a lot of money on top of mine?

Have you worked out in detail just how much dosh you think you'll save by chopping the .:R for an A4 soot chucker? Is it really that much? Is it really worth giving up all the pleasure that the .:R gives you?

I thinks its a size issue, not just a money saving exercise! I too will have two kids by next June, but will be holding onto the :R as long as possible

Fair enough, but I managed a wife and two children in a 2-door Beemer for several years without any problems.
