Guys I have had this phone for almost 10 days now and am going to send it back as I am finding it difficult getting used to using pen. Anyway O2 have no suitable phone to exchange with wanted N93, do you reckon it would be better to sell phone and purchase N93 or just get another model. Although the best model they have available is 8800 sc at 189.99 which is hardly a good deal. I just dont want to lose tariff £32inc per month 800 mins + Long weekend + 100 texts.

What do you want out of the phone? IMO, the P990i is a more business orientated tool and the N93 is a focussed camera phone. Both of them have issues with their firmware, but what doesn't these days?

The current cream of the crop regarding cam phones are the N73 and the K800i. My K800i was faultless for months until it died last week. It's been fixed now and I still consider it a damn good phone. The camera features are excellent and the quality pretty good however, after seeing the quality from a mates phone, I think the N73 has the edge on image. The downsides of the N73 are the OS seems damn slow, no xenon flash on the cam and lack of the BestPic and other feature that the K800i has. The screen on the N73 is fantastic though.

You pays your money.............

I agree with Arch, it depends on what you want the phone for. The 8800 is nothing like a P990 in terms of functionality, essentially being a 6230 in a pretty frock! I last had a P910 and found it very good for business use but a bit cumbersome, I've got the N73 now and seem to be getting on OK. N series are renowned for having dodgy software however so there are some dodgy ones about. The K800 is superb.

Depending on whether 3G is a requirement (which the P990 is but 8800 not) then if you need to swap have a look at these

Nokia N73

SE K800i

SE W850i (had a play the other day, only 2mp camera but 3G and very good to use)

Samsung D900 (not 3G and the screen are prone to snapping so make sure you get insurance)

The P990i is a bag of shite imho. I've sent two 'testers' back to Vodafone lasy week after 10 weeks of ownership. Possibly the most unstable phone I've ever used. I did write a review for here last week, but my home pc crashed just as I posted, will re-write that review later today if I can.

My wife has the previous version and loved it; I've actually just ordered her an M600i as she's not bothered about the camera. I've also ordered a K800i for myself as I use camera, but I've gathered (from here) that it's quite office-friendly too (Outlook integration etc.). I hope this works out...

Sounds like these two between them 'bracket' the combined business phone/camera needs that you have; I'll be in a position to give you a compare-and-contrast (vs. my existing 750i and the older 900) by end of week wink.gif
