Fazzzman
Service done today and dealer told me that the 40k DSG gearbox oil change should be done at least every 2 years. I can't find any reference to this in the service schedule - has anyone got a later version which has this in, or does anyone know anything about this? Its still only 21 months old (with 23k on the clock), and as the work costs £166 I thought I'd wait until 2 years was up (unless it turns out that the dealer was being overly enthusiastic). DukeDesmo
Mine's nearly 3 years old and the dealer's never mentioned a DSG oil change, although I've only done 21.5k
Fazzzman
Thanks DukeDesmo. Has anyone else got DSG and had it serviced at around 2 years old - if so did the dealer invite you to have your gearbox oil changed?
alfiejts
Mine was serviced at 1.75 years for its first vaiable service. The dealer did do the brake fluid change (which wsn't due until two years) so would probably have suggested the DSG oil too if that was needed too - and he didn't.... That's the first I've heard of a date deadline on the DSG oil change too....
Fazzzman
Good news - had a reply from Audi Customer Services today to say that it needs doing at 40k and not before. Not sure where the local Audi dealer got the 2 year thing from.
