terrymcg
When you are applying your brakes lightly and just before you come to a stand still does anyone hear a slight grinding noise like the pads meeting the disc? I have only noticed this today on my 2006 A3 2.0T. Like i say, i reckon its ok as it is not a horrible noise and it doesnt do it at speed, just as it is really slow and full force is not required to brake. ahaydock
Is it just from cold (or standstill)? If so I have had this on all my Audi's always been told not to worry and over the years it has never come to anything!
Hopsta
Stone between pad and disc?

terrymcg
Thanks for the replys, it still happens after a long journey, its not just the rust after being left for the night. Terry
ahaydock
Maybe a trip to the stealers then..?
spook
Are your pads starting to wear out? The noise could be the wear sensor in the pad grinding on the disc. Happens just before the DIS brake pad wear warning comes on.
terrymcg
Problem sorted, took it to the stealers and they had a qucik look. They said it was just all the crap from the road at this time of year. They took it for a blast and wanged it in the work shop. And whatever they did the noise has gone now! JonnyLP
Good to see its sorted terry and nothing too drastic. My brakes on my S3 (02) squeek when breaking lightly. They were replaced only 1000 miles ago by the dealer during the 60k service and its only been happening since then !! Any tips anyone ? (More annoying than a problem)
