It might be difficult to see but traveling at 5-10 mph is just not on.
mattburrow
On the reverse I have passed people with their Fog Lights on and I wish they would turn them off when there is no Fog
Mattchaps
[ QUOTE ] On the reverse I have passed people with their Fog Lights on and I wish they would turn them off when there is no Fog [/ QUOTE ] They should invent automatic fog lights, as some/most people can't seem to get it right! Either no fog, but fog lights on, or really dense fog, and no fog lights! To make it worse, yesterday saw a corsa in dense fog, no fog lights, and only one tail light working. Thats clearly asking to be shunted up there rear

patently
[ QUOTE ] Remember the debate we had about bloody Volvo drivers and daytime running lights . Anyone think its a bad idea now ? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, I still do. It's a pain when the weather is good and not bright enough in fog. The only time it provides the right level of illumination is in the dark. And if the driver can't tell night from day, he shouldn't have a licence.

steelwind101
Its really foggy here in Epping Forest area!! As the AA says dont keep turning your fog lamps on and off, its very distracting. I got this from the BBC. AA FOG ADVICE Use fog lights when appropriate Do not keep switching fog lights on and off - this can be a distraction Only drive as fast as conditions allow Maintain a greater distance between you and the car in front Im sure some people will be speeding up today in order to get out the fog quicker?? LOL, i cant wait for the "fog smash" pictures in the newspaper tommorow with lots of silly comments!! Previosuly i have seen pictures in the sun of people strapping torches to car for extra light!! Geoff PS. Today is meant to be the busiest day of the year on the roads??
garcon magnifique
Is it? Bugger! Might go home tomorrow instead then! Any chance of less fog tomorrow? Nah, thought not. I think I've decided to join the queue up the Holloway Road out of London - it might take hours, but it's safer than joining the maniacs on the M11. If there's going to be a pile-up on a fog bound motorway, I'd put money on it being the M11.
