Too good to be true??

The airbag warning light has come on my Golf Mk4 GTTDI (2002) and I need it reseting. I know that there is no problem with it as it only came on when I accidentally pulled the wrong fuse out. The interface leads on E-bay seem too good to be true as they are really cheap and the software can be downloaded for free. Is it worth buying the lead or a cheap scanner or just take it to someone who already has VAG-COM. The adverts make it sound really easy to sort problems like this out. confused.gif

it is easy to sort out if you have vagcom. i brought a lead through ebay so could check and recode a new airbag module. if you buy one then you can also sort any future problems out. id say buy one. the only thing is you cant use all function with the free software 169144-ok.gif

I think its possible to reset the ecu with a battery disconnect for 10 mins. this should turn the light off. jsut make sure you dont touch the throttle when you reconect the battery for around 5 mins. 169144-ok.gif
