sparkzz
On friday night, 7 pm 'ish i drove past a BMX X5, which the reg plate clearly spelt out ROONEY, and 30 minutes ago (sunday) i was followed by a Ferrari 360 spyder, in a light blue colour for about a mile, then he came up beside me at a round a bout, where i was looking at the car, and then him, and thought "nice motor", and my missus pointed out the reg plate, clearly spelling GIGGS. Now the driver did "sort of" look like him, but it was only for a second?.. anyone else know if that could be the football stars??.. instead of wannabe's
ian_m
Wayne Rooney does indeed have an X5 - although it had a different plate in this pic I took at OT

NewNiceMrMe
Ryan Giggs doesn't have a 360 though, and never has done.

D1MAC
There is a bit of a common thing with Man U supporters etc having relevant registrations that make you think twice about who is driving - I've seen a fair few of those! I've also seen the Rooney one around Manchester but couldn't get a decent view of whether Shrek was driving or not.
techieboy
Rooney might be dumb enough to have his name on his number plate (and I doubt that) but I'm pretty sure Giggs wouldn't. As United stars go, he seems to cherish his privacy. I regularly see a car, here in London, with a number plate formatted as GIGGSY and it's certainly not Ryan driving. v15ben
I recently read a piece in a newspaper about Man U players and Giggs was quoted as saying that he didn't want a number plate that brought attention to the fact that he was driving. I doubt it would be him with such an obvious plate. Rooney however does have WAZ 1 on an Aston Martin Vanquish so I guess anything is possible. I heard his latest shooting for the new Shrek film went well too

Mr Gig
Gotta own up here in case anyone thinks Ryan Giggs has moved to Milton Keynes and drives a Vectra. I got the GIGSSY plate cos my son Ryan is a big MU fan and I own Mr Gig Studios in Milton Keynes. Seemed like the right plate to get. Haven't dared to drive it up near Man City's ground yet tho....:suicide:
CarMad
Welcome to TSN. What have you got it attached to, did it cost many ££££. I by Gigsy changes his cars so often he can't be bothered getting a personal plate, the football players are always abandoning cars in and around Manchester when they are out on the town. It's just on a boring 03 2.2DTI Veccy SXI which I'm in the middle of developing a high output hydrogen/oxygen generator for. Should take up the power by around 30 - 40%. It's already got torque like a steam train, so the traction control is gonna have some work to do... I spent nights trawling through the combinations on the DVLA site to get something with GIG in it that was able to be made into one word and came up with GIGSSY. Only 450 from the good old DVLA, so not a lot. If anyone knows Ryan Giggs, tell him it's for sale at a fair bit more than that.
