D1MAC
If it hasn't cropped up already, this might be of some interest to the current shape S3 boys 7 girls - makes all of it's stated power (unlike, say, the R32 which is a fair degree short). Might even get a bit better once a few more miles have been put on S3 RRI Test
stevie_d
Looks good to see it bang on figures, really want to see a before and after with remap tho
Woppum
I thought the S3 has 280bhp?
stevie_d
[ QUOTE ] I thought the S3 has 280bhp? [/ QUOTE ] Nope, 265PS or 261bhp. IIRC the TT-RS will have 280bhp

Dandle
How did they do the test with the haldex fuse pulled(just through the front wheels) or with all four wheels driving?
Woppum
ISnt that the same power as what the 130 produces? I thought the S3 was supposed to be in another league of performance from the rest. Im not calling it slow by any means - just thought for some reason it was 280bhp stock? Still now I understand why remaps were only giving 305bhp! Xedos
Has anyone noticed this is wheel power? NOT flywheel? ie Audi quote 260hp fly, not 260 wheel power which would be over 300hp fly for 4wd?

Must be a translation problem and it is 260 flywheel.
JaminBen
VW themselves reckon a 23% DT loss for the 02Q gearbox and GenII Haldex.
