simonlewin
I have a 2005 Allroad with approx. 20k miles. It's my second Allroad. With the 2nd model, pretty much since new I've been noticing a motor noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car. Generally comes on a few minutes after starting the car and sometimes during a journey. It comes on for a number of seconds (sometimes 3/4, sometimes 20/30) and then disappears. I asked my local dealer to take a look a few months ago but they couldn't find a fault. But during the last 3 weeks another problem has cropped up - but not sure if they're related. During these last 3 weeks when I start the vehicle I often (maybe 60-80% of start ups) get the amber flashing suspension light in the main display. Sometimes for 10 seconds, sometimes for a couple of minutes. Always at the start of the journey. Sometimes (but not always) this is accompanied by the bottom of the 4 height indicators lights (the green ones) flashing for a while. The car is back with the dealer - they've kept it over a couple of nights but are failing to replicate the problem or see anything that's wrong. Regarding the motor noise, they say this is normal which I sort of understand BUT I never noticed it in the previous Allroad (which I owned for about 20k miles). I was hoping to get some feedback before I get the car back from the dealer - it would be good to know if others have had similar problems as it's frustrating when the dealer is simple telling you 'everything is fine'. Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance.
