Luke
my new panasonic lcd turned up today, its the TX-26LXD600. Set up this evening and I have to say its fecking superb! Moto gp has never ever looked like this before and im not even hooked up to HD yet. Was not sure what size to go for and like most blokes wanted big but very glad i opted for 26" as this is the perfect size for the room/viewing distance. will have a play around tomorrow with the settings. Best bit was that it was £1200 in John Lewis but only £597 from 123electricals4me, it doesnt have a 5 year guarantee granted but at that price i could have a spare one in the cupboard

Luke
oh yes, Robbie on good form again. Better make sure The Goners dont get hold of him, they could do with a decent striker

techieboy
I'm red and green colourblind so not a problem for me! It's actually pretty subtle in reality. I don't think the camera has done it any favours though. Too much sunlight coming through from the conservatory may well have confused it a little. techieboy
It's just those damned traffic lights I have problems with. Seriously though, I see it as what I think is a light green. The thing is, I don't know whether I see it as the same green as you see it as I know no different. I just apply the paint, leave it to the wife to choose the colours! chasdrury
slightly off topic but how does anyone know the colour they know as blue, for example, is what the next person sees as blue - that could be the same as your yellow. Surely you only know colours as what you have been taught - ie, this is red, this is blue etc... not sure if that makes sense, but anyhow.......!!!! Sheds
how do you know anything actually exists until you look at it? Isn't there some complicated physics theory about all that?
Mac
Philosophy goes into that sort of stuff quite a bit - 'I think therefore I am' being the starting point of the only absolute. Or something
