SamD
Can't wait So who's planning on watching the race live?
CarMad
Nice one Neil on top form as ever. I will be recording the live version and watching it when I get up I think. I don't think I watch any live anymore. Start the recording and start watching 30 mins after it starts and fast forward through the adverts. For those that want to we have a TSN and haven't already Join the Tyresmoke Fantasy Formula 1 league to add an extra dimension to watching the races. nordberg
Watching it live and will put £10 on Massa to win.

CarMad
Right this needs a vote.. come on then who do we think is going to win this season ? Say who you voted for and lets see who can predict the winner. Note - Voting won't be allowed after Saturday morning so vote now !!
NewNiceMrMe
I went for Hamilton and McLaren. I've no idea why. I just thought it'd be fun if he won.
DaddyDub
[ QUOTE ] I went for Hamilton and McLaren. I've no idea why. I just thought it'd be fun if he won. [/ QUOTE ] Im going all out and saying Hamilton and McLaren this year, sort of in a Cars (the film) sort of way, wouldn't it be great if a rookie took the title? D1MAC
Can't see past Alonso myself, although Massa (definitely) and Kovalainen (possibly) will be dark horses. Constructors I reckon will be Ferrari as I woud supect they will score pretty consistently all season and have budget aligned with ability. However, should Button & Honda wish to prove me wrong I wouldn't complain
Se5aScott
Kimi and Ferrari for me, I reckon he will have a slow start (although regular points) then he will be unstoppable in the 2nd half of the season
Ian_C
Like Carmad, I will record onto the TiVo-style DVDR thingy and then watch after breakfast, skipping the no-doubt-frequent adverts. Ian
Mook
I reckon it's completely wide open this year. Anyone in a Ferrari, McLaren or Renault could win it this year. Just as long as it's not a Honda in their, erm, "interesting" colour scheme...
Durrsaku
I have followed F1 for too long that i can't remember, Is the first time that i didn't even know it was on and for sure will not be getting up at that time in the morning. The king is dead. Long live the King.

Renault just aboout held on due to early season success. I have to doubt Mclarens ability, last year they had a good driver in Kimi and they were poor, this year they have Alonso but I cant see the outcome being any different. DaddyDub
You have to look at what else Ferrari have lost this year in Ross Braun and not just the fact MS is gone, They will be up there its just I cant help but hope for an Englishman to win it this year and buy that I mean Lewis Hamilton. I cant see Jenson Button doing it at Honda. Now put him in a McLaren alongside Hamilton and then he'd have a chance.
Mook
It would be good to see Hamilton do well this year, as newbies always tend to be trashed by the media if they make one small mistake. If the McLaren is a good car this year, it could well be the car that flatters his driving. Alonso proved his salt in the Minardi - it's just a shame that Hamilton hasn't been able to take this route, imo, although it would have to be in an orange Spyker. Very sad to see Anthony Davidson in the Super Aguri this year. Even though he's got a drive, I reckon his career will never really start in anger and fizzle out to nothing. fizzbitt
Hamilton will be hounded by the british press as already stated and I hope that he can have a good start to his F1 career by having some good solid consistant performances. Massa for the title I say as i cant see Alonso doing much with Mclaren... (bad move in my opinion) I think he should have stayed with Renault considering MS was on his way out. If it aint broke... Mook
Interesting point, but then take a look at what Schumacher did. 2 champtionships at Benetton, then moved to Ferrari who hadn't won a driver's title for years. Gave it a few years and then it all came together. McLaren haven't won a driver's title since 99 and, as Ross Brawn is taking a rest, I'm not convinced Ferrari will do it as cleanly as they have previously. I also reckon Raikonnen will out-drive Massa after the first few races as well
fizzbitt
I understand what your saying about the way Ferrari was turned around with MS but i still cant see it being done with Mclaren. I was rooting for Alonso all last season and was biting my nails in the last few races when Alonso just seemed to have so much bad luck! I cant stand MS but respect what he has done. As everyone says he aint a popular fella amongst his fellow drivers and to be great IMO you have to have respect form your peers...
VTEC_Killer
Massa will be the front runner for the 1st part of the season, then Kimi will show his class it will be a close battle for the Championship. Hamilton will impress with some great performances I'll be up at 3am my prediction for the race: 1st Massa 2nd Alonso 3rd Kimi Sheraz
fizzbitt
Sheraz my brother form another mother I belive that prediction is on the ball... although i dont think Alonso will be up there so soon...
VTEC_Killer
Even with a slightly inferior car; his skills behind the wheel will get him to 2nd; though Kimi will be hot on his tail!
