Complaint

Hello all, some of you might remember my post a while back regarding Bluetooth and my A4, and the fact that I could not get it to work. Well before I kindly ask CraigyB to install RNS-E in my car, I have called and left messages several times with the Audi garage that I bought my car from, and my local garage, however no one has contacted me.

I want to know how to get my BT kit working. I have the GSM phone prep in my central armrest, however when I try and search with my phones (Samsung e900 & Nokia 8800), they find nothing. No one at Audi seem to know there ass from their elbow iamwithstupid.gif, and one even stated that they "recommend" that owners do not use the Bluetooth, and instead use the cradle (£100 extra, to fit a phone that I do not have).

I have read god knows how many posts around the www regarding oem Audi BT, but cannot find anything to help me out. Where is the BT module located? I cannot find it under either of the seats, it must be behind the dashboard.

I have checked the Audi site for a complaints dept, however nothing. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The BT module is under the left hand front seat in a plastic box underneath some carpet - so it isn't easily visible.

Your first step should be to find a friendly VAG-COM owner near you who can check the coding of the Bluetooth module, and re-code it as needed.

The lack of knowledge of your Audi dealer is pretty typical, they're OK with the mechanics of cars but when it comes to the complex electronic systems now in cars most of them are pretty useless (of course there ARE some competent Techs and Master Techs out there, but they're few and far between).

I just don't know what to do. I would love to have the RNS-E fitted by yourself, Craigyb, but as soon as the local hooded-scum see it, its another excuse for them to put the window in.

Audi can not even confirm that I have bluetooth. It is an 06-plate A4, with the GSM-prep kit in the central armrest. One Audi person said that the GSM-prep kit does not mean that you have BT, while someone else said that the GSM-prep kit means I do...I love Audi cars, but the customer care is terrible!
