Sun Blinds

been thinking of getting these with the summer coming, but have also been considering tints, windows are already slightly tinted but not enough to cut out the sun for the little uns.

Would prefer darker tints as it still allows the litte uns to look out and makes the car look meaner smile.gifbut would want top quality ones not something that will look tatty.

So can i get this done and if so where and at what sort of cost.

Depending on the above i may just go for the blinds from Nelson.

Thanks

Personal point of view : I think tints look cr4p when only on the rear...and you can't legally have them all around so for me it rules them out.

Additionally in the grey days of winter I can drop the blinds for additional visibility out for my kiddie and more light in the car.

So you cant get tints on the front side (drivers & pasanger doors) ?

That nay change my mind then - just been out to Palm Springs and there were a fair few A4's with full tints which did look very nice, which is what was making my mind up - but just on the backs im not sure.

Plus didnt think abount less light in the winter - dont you just hate it when someone bursts your bubble smile.gif

Couldn't agree more. We have the factory fit ones on our S4 and they are great but finding a 2nd hand car with them is very hard. They are under £100 at the factory and >£500 as a retro because the door cards need replacing.

I priced up the parts on ETKA to fit the factory ones to my RS4 Avant - came to just over £1000 including blinds (£100 each), door cards (£300 each), trims, nuts & bolts. Can't justify that, hence the Audi retrofit ones ...

Around the 5% mark. If I were to consider tints I would have to have ones that were uniform optical density on driver / passenger and rear windows which I think max is 35%

Like ScoTTy, blinds seem to be the logical choice for me as in winter the increased light from pulling them back down would be handy. And they would only be in use when P_G Jnr is in the car.
