roger482
Wire wool on the outside! I always used to just spray with wheel cleaner on my standard pipes. When I had the supersprint they were just polished with megs ect, they had a much better finish than the standard pipes. Used to wire wool the inside though. If you have wire wooled the outside of the pipes, I would the the chances of a warranty claim are very slim.
kp090
yep ive used wire wool and it wont budge at all... insides get cleaned up nicely but not outside where the stains are. even by using megs polish nothing at all. i bought the car on saturday and the stains were on it already? roger482
IIRC mine the same happened on both my E46 M3 and the CSL, neither original stayed on very long, changed both for Supersprint. The Supersprint pipes sound and look far better imo. Thinking about it, my original CSL complete zoorst is still at the supplying dealer. Must get it back and ebay it. Fastfishracing
If you got it from BMW I'd be having words with them. Can you see the marks where you tried the wire wool?
kp090
the wire wool doesnt do anything to it.. just ends up scratchin the surface...
