Hello "DAD" LOL.

YOu would be in need of a product specifcally made for this situtaion and it goes by the name of QUICK DETAILER, or QD for short.

When QD'ing you simply spray the product on the car and wipe with a high quality plush microfibre cloth.

If you have a number of cars may i recommend a buying by the US gallon. You can choose either a product that cleans and enhances gloss in one for like ClearKote Quickshine or by using two different products one as a dedicated cleaner like Poorboys spray and wipe and then Poorboys spray and gloss to add extra zing.

If dust is a major consideration then a QD with antistatic qualities might be right up your street.

What LSP (wax or sealant) are you using on your cars?? This can effect your choice of QD.

Hi PG

Um, you know i dont really know. I think when it says "cleans" it means that the QD uses specific polymer or similar technology to suspend the dirt away from the car. I dont acutally think it cleans the surface all that much other just loosening lightly bonded dirt.

For an example: My dads daily drive Jazz (covers about 15K a year) is on its a 10th week with Megs #16 and its washed and QD every week and we still see beading!!

I think with 915 you will easily still see 3 months plus!! Alot of the QD now put down some polymer protection as well as gloss enhancers which can prolong the life of your lsp.

Im not sure what it says on the NXT bottle if gives back or just cleans and enhances?? Chances are it if just cleans then i would say it removes very little.

Er, rinse it off with a hose? Surely better than spraying something on then wiping it off. I'd never do that if my car was dusty. I'm no expert mind, but I own a black car with no scratches, and it's a year old, so I consider myself to know everything! wink.gif

Seriously thou I'm interested, living on (basically) a building site I often want to just brush off the dust but wonder if I'll do any damage?

I expect it's nothing more than taking some of the wax off but as I too have a black car, just be to scared to risk it.
