encee
I`ve just read this, and I don`t ******g believe it !!!!! Well yes, I do actually........ Are the blo*dy government determined to see us all driving around in Fiat Puntos and Vauxhall Corsas, or something ? Along with congestion charging, insurance, road tax and stupid fuel prices, the majority simply won`t be able to run a blo*dy car at all, soon...... That`s all well and good, but wouldn`t it be nice if all the government ministers could set the "green" example by driving around in Fiat Pandas and the like. Oh, but wait a minute, I forgot........a government minister needs to have at least 2 Jags to get around in, as nothing lesser (or greener) will do....... I just feel sorry for the generations behind us, as they`ll never have had the joy, and satisfaction, of owning a beautiful performance car, and will be resigned to poodling about in any old sh1t box.......as long as it`s "green", of course......... Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!
BrakeSnake
2 jags Prescot, Cameron jetting 80miles to a local conference... A politician can't be seen to be driving around in a little 'green car' or using public transport. God forbid! It's all a level of control and method of taxation... I do my best for the environment, by recycling, switching off lights, unused electrical appliances etc but I don't subscribe to this global warming nonsense that we are having a noticeable effect... Only 50% of modern reputable scientists back this theory, they don't mention about the other 50% that believe and subscribe to the exact opposite... Anyways, rant over... BrakeSnake
For pre 23rd March '06 cars, the R32 comes into class F, over 185g/km and £190. For post Mar '06 The R comes into group G, over 225g/km and £210 for tax. The new tax of £400+ appears as though it will sting those in Group G, i.e 225g/km or more AND registered after March 23rd '06... If that makes any sense... This is the Linky... njc851
i think i understand now, so if i sold the R to someone else (obviously!) the would it go up a group or remain in Class f??
OliFH
I find it all about as clear as I'm sure I read that it's if you bought the car new since April '06 - do I therefore get away with it for buying an ex-demo Also the article seemed to read that it would go up incrementally, rather than in one big lump...anyone confirm? BrakeSnake
It's about when the car was FIRST REGISTERED i believe, not when it subsequently gets sold second hand...
njc851
roger that, glad to hear it, am sure the car will be worth litle enough thanks to all things environmental, that would have been a bridge too far!
gkyle
MILLENNIUM BUG! People are fascinated that the world is coming to an end. It probably is so I intend to enjoy it while it is here. But its all theory and the government are taking full advantage of peoples gullibility! Well that’s what I think but no one listens to me any way. we all need to drive hondas new F1 car as its slow and has a green paint job so it must be good for the environment.
