Species8472 Posted March 19, 2007 Report Share Posted March 19, 2007 Just to confirm everything is ok and to narrow the ABS fault on the front end my friendly local indi (who have always looked after my beemers also have a code reader for Audi, VW etc)ran there tester over the S8 and only one fault found .. the front right hand ABS sensor and in my haste to get on with the day i forgot to read the report till i got home ..so is that right hand from inside the car (drivers side) or from the front looking at the car (passenger side)!!! ... and yes i know i'm a dufus Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Species8472 Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 Update: i removed the old ABS sensor and gave it a good clean popped it back in and no improvement ... so it was out with the soldering iron (not used it for years but i still remember how)and following the instructions i replaced the cable and shrink wrapped the new section ( a quick tip here guys ... do the shrink wrapping with the wife's hair dryer when she's not in as it'll save a whole load of questions then re fitted it yet again and bingo the abs light goes out ... so many thanks to you guys for all your help and advise Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
