maersk
Information required please. Anyone had one of these delivered recently? If so, what tyres did it come on? Many thanks.
David Wilson
Just picked up 2.0 tdi 170 SLine Quattro SE, came with continental sport contact 2 tyres. Good gripping tyres but in my experience, very soft and dont last long regards
maersk
Are they 'loud' with regard to tyre noise? I have a vehicle with contis on at the moment and the road roar is appalling. Michelin and Pirelli appear to be quietest.
TDiAvant
the contis were total cr@p on my B7 TDi, after a 1k miles they were removed and PS2 were fitted which were far better IMHO. I think it could be pot luck with the tyres could be contis or Michelin!
maersk
Appreciate pot luckk aspect but the 'deal' included the mention of Michelin and/or Pirelli and they said 'they will be able to do something'. They do sell tyres also so it may happen if the car arrives on 'unsuitable (inn my opinion) rubber. W'ell see. Ho Hum It's being built as we speak. The 2.0tdi is a lot quieter than the S4, but there is still an element of tyre noise
Vern1
Agree the conti's are noisey, but not as noisey as Dunlops!!!it seems everyone likes the PS2's all round but they are expensive
