billy2shots
Just spotted this while looking round. Must have been part of a collection. http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/national_search_result/0,,1260_159980106__,00.html Good buy or not? What are peoples thoughts. IMO i would rather one thats been lightly used and not tucked away. Sorry cant get the link to work but its on the BMW uk used section. Woppum
Wow never seen onewith that lower milage. I think with all these cars you just have to try it out. Like you would be a bit worried about a car that hasnt been used in over 3 years. How much is it up for?
billy2shots
£41,950. Not bad as a few 30k cars are still going for £36.

billy2shots
have always regreted opting for the R32 over the csl. Just dreaming though cant afford to change. Now the new M3 on the other hand, i would sell my granny for. I know you are doing a fair bit of thinking on this subject Sam.
Woppum
Its a long way away and thinking is probably all I will do. At circa 300kg over the CSL I might find it very hard to swap for. Now the idea of a 450bhp CSL makes my heart skip a beat!

Wallachie
I wouldn't touch it to be honest, surely can't be good for a car just sitting all he time and never being used. As for the new M3, as stunning as it is, and tempting, I think I would choose a used M5. Residuals on an M5 would be a worry though.
Woppum
My thinking changes on the new M3 everyday. With no sports seats, all that weight and the prospect of rolling round corners im finding it hard to get excited about. If im not loosing sleep over a car its not worth it. I dont want to be in a position of regret. Regret I have just bought a car and sold the most fun thing on 4 wheels. With what I posted earlier and the prospect of a CSL im really tempted to wait and get that. If it was certain to appear id loose sleep for 4 years until I took delivery. That's what ownership is all about.
Wallachie
Wopps I think you have convinced yourself that the new M3 will be very soft compared to the CSL, I must say I'm not quite so pessimistic as you. I think it will be an absolute monster, and the perfect balance of comfort and sportiness. It would have to be SMG though, a manual just won't ever do it for me again. [/ QUOTE ] I have no doubt this will be a fantastic car, I just wonder if it will be as thrilling as the CSL. There is no way I will be cancelling my order before a test drive back to back against the CSL and the chickens haven’t even been conceived yet! However with the weight the way it is and the fact the standard E46 M3 failed to tickly my senses I have a good inkling the E92 M3 may not be fully for me. However there is plenty of time and I can delay for the DSG anyway. However the CSL is the one I really want and if they show an M6 CSL at Frankfurt I am quite certain there will be one sooner rather than later.
