Subject to the OPC check, it appears I may have bought a Turbo today grin.gif

It's not the exterior colour I really wanted, but apart from that, the spec is perfect for me.

02/02

22k miles

Artic/ Black leather

Sports Seats

Heated Seats

Alcantara Headlining

Sunroof

BOSE

Silver Dials

Small Ali Pack

Park Assist

6CD

PCM (1!)

Phone Module

Probably more spec, but not sure I've geeked up enough on the 2002 996 specs!

Wish me luck breaking the news to the wife 169144-ok.gif

As long as I still have 2 legs it'll be a manual Porsche all day long grin.gif

There was a GT3 in the running, but it's not the right time for me to have another track biased car I won't get time to track.

Rear seats are a must as I can take the little one(s) out for a blast as he's now getting into his cars at 20 months grin.gif

I'll tell you now what I think Sam, I want a remap and exhaust and some graphite wheels 169144-ok.gif

Thanks chaps (and chap-ess!)

I'll work out how to fix images soon!

The wife's not interested in cars that much to be fair, she likes her X3 and that's about it - apart from the B5 RS4, she loved that - not suprising really after coming from a 100BHP Polo tongue.gif

I'll try and run it standard all year, then start fiddling when I crave more.

Just noticed, I left the exhaust tips off of the option list smlove2.gif

Not sure when I'll get it, depends when the 111 point check can be done.

Cheers all

Your going to run it longer than a year! EEK2.GIF

I think I've reached the pinnacle of my motoring wish list (realistic one anyway!).

I should be able to hang on to this car, depreciation usually makes me nervous and get rid of cars, but the 996 has done a lot of it's money loosing so hopefully it won't fall too much more in a year or two. The mileage should not accrue too much per annum, so in another 2 years it'll be lucky to have done 30k.

This is all providing I've paid the right money for it, Turbo prices are all over the place at the moment, it's a nightmare.

I've heard that people are paying thousands more for black cars. Manuals are hard to find, and there's loads about with odd specs.

I think they're cracking buys as there not really appreaciated enough at present. I think in a years time people will realise what an absolute performance bargain they are and prices will hold strong.

Enjoy it ...... looks mint 169144-ok.gif

great choice of car beerchug.gif

be prepared for outbreaks of mad giggling after going from 0.0 to 0.6 bar in no time...

the acceleration is simply relentless. in any gear.

but still, you'll be wanting a remapped ecu/filter and no.1 priority, uprated exhaust system, in no time cool.gif
